What are signs you need professional drain cleaning?

Persistent Slow Drain

If your sink or tub is taking a while to drain, it likely indicates a clog in your plumbing system. While the problem may be annoying, you may not think of it as an emergency. However, the longer you leave a plumbing issue unfixed, the bigger it becomes.

Plunger Does Not Solve Problem

When the toilet overflows and a plunger is not enough to solve the problem, there is a good chance that there’s a clog further in the sewer line.

Foul odors

Do you smell foul odors coming from your drain, particularly in the kitchen? Food particles that have started to build up in the drain pipe are often to blame.

What are the benefits of

Professional drain cleaning on a regular basis keeps your plumbing system working efficiently and your home safe and comfortable. Our drain cleaning solutions are much more thorough than the basic plunger or store-bought drain opener. When you work with our team, you can rest assured your drain problem will be solved without any hassle.

A clogged drain may interfere with your sewer line, creating a costly problem to fix. Your whole plumbing system may also suffer from accumulated debris in the pipes. Regular drain cleaning ensures problems such as raw sewage backing up from your drains won’t happen.

Professional drain maintenance spares you from severe problems and costly repairs further down the road.

What are tips for

Be mindful of what enters the drains daily. Avoid flushing anything other than toilet paper. Avoid allowing hair and larger food particles to wash down the sink.
Shower and tub drains often back up due to hair buildup. We recommend putting strainers over drains to help keep hair and other materials out of the drain. This may seem like simple advice, but it is one of the more effective ways to keep your drains clear.
In the kitchen, avoid pouring grease or oils down the drain. These solidify when cooled and easily lead to clogging.

Don’t deal with a clogged drain alone.

Trenchless Sewer Replacement

Constant sewer pipe drain and garage drainpipe backups are obvious signs of serious drainpipe issues. If you are experiencing this type of problem, then you should consider a trenchless sewer pipe replacement. This is an advanced technology that is very efficient; particularly when a sewer drainpipe runs under a driveway, house, sidewalk or large tree. At All County Sewer and Drain we are experts in trenchless sewer systems in New Jersey, and we can fix your drainage backup problems with a minimum of disruption to your property.

The trenchless approach is far superior to the traditional method of digging up old pipes, either by hand or with a machine, and putting in a new pipe. This is not only an extremely labor-intensive process that can result in a great deal of property damage, it is also very expensive – especially if the drainpipe is difficult to access.

How it Works in New Jersey

First, a technician will need to excavate a hole at the beginning of the piping and at the end. Then, the drainpipe will be exposed and small sections of the pipe will be cut out. Next, the technician will feed a large steel cable between the two holes; attached to the cable is a metal, cone-shaped apparatus that breaks the old pipe to the exact size of the new trenchless drainpipe. This new pipe is made of black plastic that is between four and six inches in diameter. The pipe does not have joints, so the risk of leaks will be eliminated. Also, this technologically advanced pipe will be impervious to tree roots. The cone-shaped head bursts the old pipe and pushes it out of the way as the cable is pulled through, making room for the new drainpipe. The entire job normally takes about a day or two to complete, although the replacement of the new pipe can normally be completed in a few hours.

Trenchless Sewer Benefits in New Jersey

The biggest advantage of trenchless sewer pipe replacement is the fact that your old drainpipe can be replaced without a great deal of excavation damage to your yard. Also, replacing your drainpipe can prevent an expensive flood from occurring in the future.
Because there will be little to no digging, your landscaping will be spared, and your patio and driveway will be preserved because we will not need to remove any concrete. Even better, you will not suffer any future leaks or have to deal with backups or drain cleaning.
